TiCl2 + 2Na(C5H5) → [Ti(C5H5)2] + 2NaCl


Titanium(II) chloride react with sodium cyclopentadienyl to produce cyclopentadienyl titanium and sodium chloride. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution in the benzene.
