Titanium(IV) chloride react with hydrogen

2TiCl4 + H2 → 2TiCl3 + 2HCl


Titanium(IV) chloride react with hydrogen to produce titanium(III) chloride and hydrogen chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 600°C. Atomic hydrogen is formed by reaction:
