Titanium(IV) chloride react with sodium cyclopentadienyl

TiCl4 + 2NaC5H5 → [Ti(C5H5)2Cl2] + 2NaCl


Titanium(IV) chloride react with sodium cyclopentadienyl to produce dichloridodicyclopentadienyltitanium(IV) and sodium chloride. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution in the dioxane.
