4AgNO3 + 2Cl2 → 4AgCl + 2N2O5 + O2


Silver nitrate react with chlorine to produce silver(I) chloride, dinitrogen pentoxide and oxygen. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C, in the liquid CCl4.
