Potassium perrhenate react with hydrogen

2KReO4 + 7H2 → 2KOH + 2Re + 6H2O


Potassium perrhenate react with hydrogen to produce potassium hydroxide, rhenium and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 400°C [10] (about 800°C [8]).
