CoCl2 + 7KNO2 + 2CH3COOH → K3[Co(NO2)6] + NO + 2KCl + H2O + 2CH3COOK




Cobalt(II) chloride react with potassium nitrite and acetic acid to produce hexanitrocobaltate(III) potassium, nitric oxide, potassium chloride, water and potassium acetate.
