BP + 2(KOH•2H2O) → KBO2 + KPO3 + 4H2 + H2O




Boron phosphide react with dihydrate potassium hydroxide to produce potassium metaborate, potassium metaphosphate, hydrogen and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 500-600°C.
