Aluminium-beryllium dioxide react with sodium hydroxide

(BeAl2)O4 + 4NaOH → Na2BeO2 + 2NaAlO2 + 2H2O




Aluminium-beryllium dioxide react with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium beryllate, sodium aluminate and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 1000°C.
