Be2SiO4 + 6NaOH → 2Na2BeO2 + Na2SiO3 + 3H2O




Beryllium orthosilicate react with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium beryllate, sodium metasilicate and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 500°C.
