6BiOCl + 6HClO4 + 6H2O → [Bi6(OH)12](ClO4)6 + 6HCl




Bismuth(III) oxide-chloride react with perchloric acid and water to produce dodekahydroxohexabismuth(III) perchlorate and hydrogen chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C.
