Bismuth(III) oxide react with ammonium carbonate

Bi2O3 + 3(NH4)2CO3 → Bi2(OH)4CO3 + 6NH3 + 2CO2 + H2O


Bismuth(III) oxide react with ammonium carbonate to produce bismuth(III) tetrahydroxide-carbonate, ammonia, carbon dioxide and water. The reaction slowly takes place in a boiling solution.
