CCl4 + 6NaOH → Na2CO3 + 4NaCl + 3H2O




Carbon tetrachloride react with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium carbonate, sodium chloride and water. Sodium hydroxide - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
