Ca(ClO)2 + CaCl2 → 2CaO + 2Cl2


Calcium gipochlorite react with calcium chloride to produce calcium oxide and chlorine. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 60°C. In this reaction, the catalyst is can be chloride cobalt(II), nitrate iron(III).
