CaI2 + 4HNO3 → Ca(NO3)2 + I2 + 2NO2 + 2H2O




Calcium iodide react with nitric acid to produce potassium nitrate , iodine, nitrogen dioxide and water. Nitric acid - concentrated heated solution.
