Co2O4 + 8HCl → 3CoCl2 + Cl2 + 4H2O




Cobalt(II,III) oxide react with hydrogen chloride to produce cobalt(II) chloride, chlorine and water. Hydrogen chloride - concentrated solution. This reaction takes place slowly.
