3CoSO4 → Co3O4 + 3SO2 + O2




The thermal decomposition of cobalt(II) sulfate to produce oxide cobalt(II,III), sulfur dioxide and oxygen. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 600-700°C. Impurities: - oxide sulfur(VI).
