Chromium(II) chloride react with sulfuric acid

2CrCl2 + 4H2SO4 → Cr2(SO4)3 + SO2 + 2H2O + 4HCl


Chromium(II) chloride react with sulfuric acid to produce chromium(III) sulfate, sulfur dioxide, water and hydrogen chloride. Sulfuric acid - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
