Chromium(II) chloride react with nitric acid

CrCl2 + 4NHO3 → Cr(NO3)3 + NO2 + 2HCl + H2O


Chromium(II) chloride react with nitric acid to produce chromium(III) nitrate, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen chloride and water. Nitric acid - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
