3CrSO4 → 2Cr2O3 + 4SO2 + O2


The thermal decomposition of chromium(II) sulfate to produce chromium(III) oxide, sulfur dioxide and oxygen. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 700°C. Impurities: - oxide sulfur(VI).
