6Fe + 4K2CO3 + 13S → 6K[FeS2] + K2SO4 + 4CO2




Iron react with potassium carbonate and sulfur to produce dithioferrate(III) potassium, potassium sulfate and carbon dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 900-1000°C.
