Iron(III) chloride react with cesium chloride

2FeCl3 + 3CsCl → Cs3[Fe2Cl9]




Iron(III) chloride react with cesium chloride to produce cesium nonachloridodiferrate(III). This reaction takes place at a temperature near 400°C in a nitrogen atmosphere.
