Iron(II) iodide react with nitric acid

FeI2 + 6HNO3 → Fe(NO3)3 + I2 + 3NO2 + 3H2O




Iron(II) iodide react with nitric acid to produce iron(II) nitrate, iodine, nitrogen dioxide and water. Nitric acid - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
