Iron(III) sulfate react with sulfur dioxide and water

Fe2(SO4)3 + 3SO2 + 12H2O → 2(FeS2O6•5H2O) + 2H2SO4


Iron(III) sulfate react with sulfur dioxide and water to produce pentahydrate iron(II) dithionate and sulfuric acid. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C.
