GeCl4 + 4C2H5ONa → Ge(C2H5O)4 + 4NaCl


Germanium(IV) chloride react with sodium ethoxide to produce ethgermanium(IV) oxide and sodium chloride. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution in the medium of ester.
