GeCl4 + 4SO3 → Ge(SO4)2 + 2SO2Cl2




Germanium(IV) chloride react with sulfur trioxide to produce germanium(IV) sulfate and sulfuryl chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 50°C.
