Methane react with oxygen

2CH4 + O2 → 2CO + 4H2


Methane react with oxygen to produce carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The reaction takes place at a temperature of 800-900°C (830-1000°C [15]) in the presence of oxide nickel NiO on Al2O3.
