HfOCl2 + 2H3PO4 → Hf(HPO4)2•H2O + 2HCl + H2O




Hafnium(IV) oxide-dichloride react with phosphoric acid to produce hydrate hydroorthohafnium(IV) phosphate, hydrogen chloride and water. Phosphoric acid - diluted solution. The reaction proceeds at room temperature.
