Iridium(IV) chloride react with sodium hydroxide

4IrCl4 + 16NaOH → 2Ir2O3 + O2 + 16NaCl + 8H2O




Iridium(IV) chloride react with sodium hydroxide to produce oxide iridium(III), oxygen, sodium chloride and water. Sodium hydroxide - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
