2Na3[IrCl6] + Cl2 → 2Na2[IrCl6] + 2NaCl




Sodium hexachloridoiridate(III) react with chlorine to produce sodium hexachloridoiridate(IV) and sodium chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 400-500°C.
