Ir2(SO4)3 + 2HNO3 + 2H2O → 2IrO2 + 2NO2 + 3H2SO4




Iridium(III) sulfate react with nitric acid and water to produce iridium(IV) oxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulfuric acid. Nitric acid - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
