2KBr + MnO2 + 2H2SO4 → Br2 + K2SO4 + MnSO4 + 2H2O




Potassium bromide react with manganese(IV) oxide and sulfuric acid to produce bromine, potassium sulfate, manganese(II) sulfate and water. Sulfuric acid - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
