K2Cr2O7 + 14HCl + 2KCl → 2K2[Cr(H2O)Cl5] + 3Cl2




Potassium chromate react with hydrogen chloride and potassium chloride to produce pentachloridoaquachromate(III) potassium and chlorine. Hydrogen chloride - concentrated solution. The reaction proceeds at room temperature, in the ethanol.
