2KCr(SO4)2 + 12NH4SCN → 2(NH4)3[Cr(SCN)6] + K2SO4 + 3(NH4)2SO4




Chromium(III)-potassium sulfate react with thiocyanate ammonium to produce ammonium hexatiocyanochromate(III), potassium sulfate and ammonium sulfate. Thiocyanate ammonium - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
