Potassium ferrate react with ammonium hydroxide

2K2FeO4 + 2(NH3•H2O) → 2FeO(OH) + N2 + 4KOH + 2H2O




Potassium ferrate react with ammonium hydroxide to produce iron(III) oxide-hydroxide, nitrogen, potassium hydroxide and water. Ammonium hydroxide - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
