Potassium permanganate react with hydrogen chloride and potassium chloride to produce pentachlorinemanganate(III) potassium, chlorine and water. Hydrogen chloride - concentrated solution. Potassium chloride - saturated solution. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C, in the medium of ester.
