2KSCN + MnO2 + 2H2SO4 → (SCN)2 + MnSO4 + K2SO4 + 2H2O




Potassium thiocyanate react with manganese(IV) oxide and sulfuric acid to produce thiocyanogen, manganese(II) sulfate, potassium sulfate and water. Sulfuric acid - diluted solution. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C.
