KNO2 + 2HCl → NOCl + KCl + H2O




Potassium nitrite react with hydrogen chloride to produce oxide-nitrogen(III) chloride, potassium chloride and water. Hydrogen chloride - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
