2KReO4 + 8HCl + 4H2 → K2[Re2Cl8] + 8H2O




Potassium perrhenate react with hydrogen chloride and hydrogen to produce octachloridodirhenate(III) potassium and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 290-325°C and an overpressure.
