Potassium perrhenate react with hydrogen bromide, potassium bromide and hypophosphorous acid to produce hexabromidorhenate(IV) potassium, phosphorous acid and water. Hydrogen bromide and Hypophosphorous acid - concentrated solutions. The reaction takes place in a boiling solution.
