2K2S2O3 + SCl2 → K2S5O6 + 2KCl




Potassium tiosulfate react with sulfur dichloride to produce potassium pentathionate and potassium chloride. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 0°C in the concentrated solution hydrogen chloride.
