2MgF2 + 3KF → K[MgF3] + K2[MgF4]


Magnesium fluoride react with potassium fluoride to produce trifluoromagnate(II) potassium and potassium tetrafluoromagnate(II). This reaction takes place at a temperature of over 800°C.
