Hydrogen hexachloridoplatinate(IV) react with hydrazinium dichloride to produce hydrogen tetrachloridoplatinate(II), hydrogen chloride and nitrogen. Hydrogen hexachloridoplatinate(IV) - concentrated solution. Hydrazinium dichloride - solid. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 70°C.
