ZrSiO4 + 2Na2CO3 → Na2ZrO3 + Na2SiO3 + 2CO2


Zirconium(IV) orthosilicate react with sodium carbonate to produce sodium zirconate, sodium metasilicate and carbon dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of over 900°C.
