Zirconium(IV) oxide react with ammonium sulfate

ZrO2 + 3(NH4)2SO4 → (NH4)3[Zr(H2O)(SO4)3OH] + 3NH3


Zirconium(IV) oxide react with ammonium sulfate to produce ammonium hydroxotrisulfatoaquazirconate(IV) and ammonia. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 450°C.
