Platinum(IV) oxide tetrahydrate react with ammonium hydroxide to produce trance-dihydroxotetraammineplatinum(IV) hydroxide and water. Ammonium hydroxide - concentrated solution. The reaction takes place in a diluted solution sodium hydroxide.
