Zirconium(IV) chloride react with potassium thiocyanate

ZrCl4 + 6KSCN → K2[Zr(SCN)6] + 4KCl

Zirconium(IV) chloride react with potassium thiocyanate to produce potassium hexathiocyanatozirconate(IV) and potassium chloride. The reaction is conducted in a liquid acetonitrile.
