Pu + KBrO3 + 2HNO3 → PuO2(NO3)2 + KBr + H2O


Plutonium react with potassium bromate and nitric acid to produce plutonium(IV) dinitrate-dioxide, potassium bromide and water. Nitric acid - diluted solution. This reaction takes place at a temperature near 95°.
