ZnI2 + 2Li[AlH4] → ZnH2 + 2AlH3 + 2LiI


Zinc iodide react with lithium tetrahydroxoaluminate(III) to produce zinc hydride, aluminum hydride and lithium iodide. This reaction takes place in the medium of ester, at a temperature near -40°C.
