Zinc carbonate react with cobalt(II) carbonate and oxygen

2ZnCO3 + 4CoCO3 + O2 → 2Co2ZnO4 + 6CO2


Zinc carbonate react with cobalt(II) carbonate and oxygen to produce oxide zinc-cobalt(III) and carbon dioxide. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 800-900°C, in the in the meltmelt potassium chloride.
