2Y2(SO4)3 + 2H2O → 4Y(OH)SO4 + 2SO2 + O2


Yttrium(III) sulfate react with water to produce yttrium(III) sulphate-hydroxide, sulfur dioxide and oxygen. This reaction takes place at a temperature of 550-600°C.
